Chili Chicken – A Spicy and Flavorful Recipe for Chicken Lovers
Chili Chicken: Ingredients: For marination:
- 400g chicken
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 3 tablespoons corn flour
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- Salt
For gravy:
- 1 capsicum, diced
- 1 medium-sized onion, diced
- 1/2 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- Green chili, chopped to taste
- 1 tablespoon spring onion, chopped (optional)
- Soy sauce
- Red chili sauce
- Green chili sauce
- Tomato sauce
- Vinegar
- Chili powder
- Corn flour
- Salt
- Oil
Instructions:
- Marinate the chicken with garlic paste, vinegar, soy sauce, chili powder, and salt for at least one hour.
- Add egg, corn flour, all-purpose flour, and a little salt to the marinated chicken and mix well. The batter should not be too thin. Adjust the amount of flour as necessary.
- Heat oil in a wok and deep fry the chicken until crispy.
- In the same wok, add a little more oil if needed and sauté the diced capsicum, onion, garlic, ginger, and green chili.
- Add soy sauce, red chili sauce, green chili sauce, tomato sauce, and a little vinegar to the wok and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, mix corn flour with a little water and add it to the wok. Keep stirring until the gravy thickens.
- Add the fried chicken to the gravy and mix well.
- Garnish with chopped spring onion, if desired, and serve hot with fried rice, noodles, or roti.
